Two things occur for me.
1) If the service includes bubbles that I truly enjoy, I will make this the focal point of consumption.
2) If the service includes foods that are remotely tasty I only "taste" everything.
Both of these tend to create a substantial NET deficit in calorie consumption as compared to non-travel related days/weeks/months.
I am still trying to figure this out exactly, as I would like to create an environment that encourages less mass consumption.
Oh yeah. On longhaul I drink at least 4 liters of water. The bathroom trips are surely a nuisance (hopefully not too much for others) but helps otherwise I believe.
