Apologies if these questions are answered elsewhere in this forum, but I couldn't find the answers.

I'd like to use the annual free night that comes with my mom's Chase Marriott Visa. Will the hotel let me check in if I'm a listed guest in the reservation (a la IHG)? I'd be the only one staying.

I assume the T&C's state that you have to have the Marriott Visa account open to complete the stay. Once the stay is booked, will the reservation automatically be canceled if the card is closed?
