Is your phone still connected to the same wifi network as the Bose unit? They likely have to be on the same router. If your phone is connected to the cellular network or a secondary wifi network the devices will not find each other.

Note this guess is based on cell phone control of my cable box (WOW Ultra) and a Roku 3.
