you should be able to do the trip for pretty close to the same price with a lot more mileage. Try ord-sfo-lax-hnl-nrt-hkg-sin then going back sin-hkg-nrt-sfo-ord. Depending on how you do it, you can end up getting overnights in sfo and hnl. The sfo isn't a long one, but hnl is 23 hours.
