UA ORD-SIN mileage run ... good deal?
Hi folks, a Mileage Run Newbie here. Considering my first run to SIN in October, and have booked:
ORD-NRT-SIN outbound
SIN-HKG-ORD return

With our corporate discount, I'm looking at ~$520 r/t. Total mileage w/ 1K bonus: 19k status miles; 38k total miles w/ bonuses.

I know I haven't maximized my mileage & segments by going through LAX, SFO, HNL, etc., but this seems like a pretty good deal--around 2.74 cents per status mile (1.37 cents per account mile). Plus, after several calls I have confirmed that the fare is SWU-upgradeable.

Should I pull the trigger?
