Bangkok would be my first choice.

Beijing is a pretty grey city but if you havent been there the Forbidden City, Summer Palace etc. are very interesting.

Shanghai also has some sites and the new stuff that's gone up is incredible. The feel of the city is much more exciting than Beijing.
