Going to shed some light on this a little bit. Recently I flew KE F from CGK - ICN - JFK, where the first leg is on a B777 and the second one is on a A380.
I did ask the FAs about this nut rage incident, and they explained that on B777, the protocol is that they just bring you the nuts in a bowl. No questions such as: do you want nuts?
But on A380, the protocol is that they bring you the nuts in a bag ON A TRAY (so it's not that crude), asking if you would like it. If you do, then they take the bag of nuts back to the galley, put them on a bowl, and serve them again.
I flew on a 777 (ICN-SIN), and they brought out the nuts, showed you and asked you if you wanted it, then if you do take it back and warm it and serve it in a bowl. So I don't know if what you are saying is correct. Or maybe they did it wrong and got lucky I'm not a senior VP.
