Additional thing I found on aa.com. I can lookup flights for "All carriers" in the aa.com booking tool. For example JL 5 followed by JL 11 to get to SIN on JAL. I'm assuming this is a JL ticket that doesn't earn EQMs since it doesn't have an AA flight number but operated by JL?
As the chart Djokison links to shows, you might earn anywhere from 30% to 50, 70 or up to 100%, depending on fare class flown on JL.
