If there are weather issues that day, the SC will be crowded but might be worth it for flight information and especially to be at the front of the line for rebooking.
The $25 fee difference for wife would be almost the equivalent of one paid but not particularly special drink for each of you in the SC. If you would buy two drinks each (not in FC/BE or even EC/C+ for the flight?), then Wingtips would be considerably cheaper.
The lounges have better restrooms than the terminal or airport bars/restaurants. With any luck, there will be a supply of some free reading materials for your flight as well as some snacks to go with the drinks, which would cost extra in the terminal of course.
