Thanks!
When you say booked to fly coach do you mean in the "Main Cabin" or in "Main Cabin Extra"?

When considering flying on an AA 777 vs an AA 787 it is important to keep in mind the following:

AA 777 Main Cabin => 10 abreast (3-4-3) with seats about 17" wide
AA 777 Main Cabin Extra => 9 abreast (3-3-3) with seats about 18.5" wide

AA 787 Main Cabin & Main Cabin Extra => 9 abreast (3-3-3) with seat about 17" wide

SO...if you are flying Main Cabin Extra you should DEFINITELY choose the 777 over the 787

If you are flying Main Cabin then the 787 *MIGHT* be a better environment due to 787 having a cabin pressurized to a lower altitude and more humid air.
