You do not need fast speed for the majority of tasks.
Many websites today are so dynamic that anything less than 2MB downstream is unacceptable. Also many businessmen requires VPN connections, constant upload/download that again, anything less than 2MB today are just not good enough.

Not all of us are just leisurely browsing news sites and write emails, so of us actually have work to do.
