I take the liberty to post some really low cost-per-mile prices ex. Europe on American. Planning to start flying Oneworld, with the EXP as the target.

Looks like the tickets starting in Europe is aggressively priced.

Later this year you get round-trip FRA-NYC for around US$380 +tax. (Even less than $300 through consolidators in Germany, but I suppose the Q-class will not give miles on flights originating in Europe).

If routing this FRA-DFW-NYC - you get around 13,000 status miles, and with Platinum - and conversion of the 10K upgrades, we looking at around 39,000 miles. Cost per mile is less than $0,01

Another example;
Paris - Brazil (Sao Paulo)

Routed through Dallas (DFW), costing around US$585+tax in the right seasons, yielding roughly 20,000 status miles + platinum + upgrade.... = around 60,000.

Cost per mile still less than 1 cent.

Does anyone knows about similar routes/cost per mile?


PS! Tax not included in cost/mile...
