I'm flying over to NYC for a weekend (best friend's birthday celebration and a short break for myself before term exams). I'm looking for a hotel that is decent and not overpriced, ideally one that allows me to collect Avios (but w/o that it's fine too). I used to stay at the Pearl but that was when family paid, so no such luxury anymore And I kindof hate Times Square for no reason. Arriving/departing LGA, so I was looking for hotels that make good connections to the NQR so I can catch an uber at Astoria Blvd on the way back.

I'm looking for a few things, but I'm willing to give/take for each too…a nice shower/bathroom (this is probably more like a must), bathrobes, nice view, near subway.
