There is now a corridor between the new part of the terminal (T1A) and the old part (gates 4 - 14). As the new terminal has centralised security, and the old terminal has gate security, if going from old to new, you have to pass through a security checkpoint, while going new to old you can bypass it.

The Java House near gate 14 has had to move a bit, but is still there. There is also now a Java House landside, adjacent to T1B (I think).
