Got hit by Amex FR last week. Reported an income of 100K in 2013 (Was my projection) but actual income was 52K by the end of the year 2013 and 90K by the end of 2014 (Household Income was more than 100K in 2014). Got flagged for loading Target Prepaid Redcard on the new Gold card and SPG. The accountant who I spoke to asked me particularly about my spending at Target.
Not comfortable in submitting the 4506 form, though I am OK with submitting my paychecks and bank statements. Will be closing all my 4 cards next week. I don't wanna end up having the cards closed by grantor on my credit file, which will be a huge negative. Any advice would be appreciated.
You can try sending in just a bank statement. If you do go through the whole process and AMEX decides they want to close a card (or a few), I think they give you the option to close it on your own if you do not what the card closed by issuer.
