I've been a capital one customer for over four years now, and I have both the free Venture and the standard Venture card. I keep the free one around because I can transfer points 1:1 from the Venture and redeem them for statement credits, which eventually turn into refund checks, with no "travel expense" requirement.

At any rate, I have a $10k CL on the free card and only a $5k limit on the Venture. All my other cards from other issuers have at least $20k limits. I've tried numerous times to request increases on the Venture to no avail. Since I never use the free card for purchases, I want to transfer as much of the CL over to the Venture as possible. I tried calling CS and got a firm no.

Has anyone had success with this? Any tips?
