I am having the same problem while selecting seats in C (award upgrade). i get the below message.
Unfortunately, your seat selection could not or only partially be confirmed. However, there is no impact on your flight booking. You may reserve new seats at any time in the service area under "My Bookings", provided that the flights you selected allow to do so. Otherwise, you will be allocated a seat during the check-in process.
