Here are a few more that might be of interest. It seems that you run the risk of flying with pigs on US Airways, despite the fact they've said - twice - it would never happen again.

In October 2000, a 300 lb pig flew from PHL to SEA. In that instance, the pig was described as described as "enormous, brown, angry and honking" and was "snuffling at food trays and rubbing its nose on passengers' legs" after it was allowed to fly first class.

From the UK Telegraph, "As the flight landed in Seattle the pig panicked, running up and down through economy class squealing. At one point the animal attempted to enter the cockpit, charging the door. It took four cabin attendants to remove the pig from the aircraft."


US Airways quickly admitted afterwards that letting the animal on board was a mistake and that it would not happen again ...


But it did.


Last fall, November 2014, a woman with a 70-80 lb pot bellied pig was booted off of a US Air flight due to disruptive behavior.

From the article, "Everybody was trying to surmise what it could be, because no one thought it was a pig," he said. "Other than a Fellini movie, where would you see a person with a pig?"
