I was in the process of putting a trip on hold when I rec'd the following offer to extend the 24 hr hold to:

3 days - $8
5 days - $10
7 days - $12

It seems from this thread that AA is doing this now, but I've never been given the option,, perhaps because I put a lot of flights on hold? Any rhyme or reason as to when these type of deals are offered?
