Tight Connection, Chronically late flight - Advice
On 23/02, Im flying PVG-HKG on KA805 arriving into HKG at 1715 and then connecting onto CX890 (HKG - EWR) which deprts 65 min later at 1820.

All is fine and well with 65 min, EXCEPT KA805 has a 25% on time performance. Loads are looking full already ex-PVG (post-cny travel?).

Being an AA regular, missed connections are a nightmare so maybe I shouldnt worry but what are my option to make it to NY without possibly getting stuck in the back of the bus on a middle seat on the HKG-YVR-JFK flight? Anything I can do proactively?

Fare class is B PVG-HKG and upgraded to U on HKG-EWR. Also OWS.
