The point of the fee is to help limit the number of pets on the plane. $50 RT everybody would go for that. Cheaper than a kennel or pet sitter, a few people would bring pets that never did before just to save money. I wouldn't mind more pets on board but I can see there's a tipping point where it becomes like a chicken bus in Mexico.
