But Hyatt is otherwise much more generous. They just announced increased Diamond benefits today (albeit relatively minor ones).
Hilton's also started to get stingy with their breakfast at oversea's properties, or at least in Europe. The Waldorf use to give diamond's the option of breakfast in the restaurant and no longer does. The Trafalgar has lounge and a continental buffet which was what was given to Gold's and diamond's were told they could order anything they wanted off the menu for free and now it's the continental buffet. Hopefully the rumors are true of Hilton offering full breakfast in the US lounges.

I think with Platinum benefits, Hyatt is more stingy than Hilton is with Gold's. I have never been able to get a club level upgrade a Hyatt even though they had rooms available, a few Hyatt's have told me Platinum's can't get upgraded to the club level and they provide no breakfast like Hilton does for Gold's. I do appreciate the late check out at Hyatt though.
