Wow. Such liberal travel allowances... I wish I worked for that kind of company (actually, I wished I worked for a company that would pay me to travel at all). :-)

Anyways, how about:

AA1323 ORD-STL DEP 651 ARR 758 (500)
AA2933 STL-DFW DEP 840 ARR 1032 (548)
AA2421 DFW-LAX DEP 1104 ARR 1224 (1240)
AA3419 LAX-PHX DEP 1350 ARR 1515 (500)
AA3426 PHX-LAX DEP 1545 ARR 1715 (500)
AA850 LAX-SJC DEP 1830 ARR 1938 (500)

All on 757s, Super 80s, and ERJs... I hope you don't mind.

Prices out at: $498.50 all taxes included
- yields 3788 q-miles, *2 for AA Platinum

Priced via expedia.com (picked multiple destinations) and entered ORD-DFW, DFW-LAX, LAX-PHX, PHX-SJC. I imagine you could do the same on aa.com, Travelocity or calling AA reservations.

Prices out as ORD-PHX as MAP3NR (3 day advance purchase) and PHX-SJC as K26D (no advance purchase). So if you are considering going this way, you should hold this fare before the end of today.

I was too lazy to try any other routings... you can probably get away with a short hop to the east coast and then treking back to SJC.

Editted to add:
Oops, didn't see the 11am restriction until after posting... so this probably won't work for you.
