The reverse isn't true though - it is safer to OLCI so you signify that you are likely going to be turning up! However, OLCI won't affect your chances of op-up - if it's oversold, the decision is already made and you'll get the new bp at the check-in counter. Plus you are Silver so I think the chance of you getting offloaded is minuscule at best!
