Just a follow up to my old post. I called AA and asked about changing the reservation due to the tight connection, last flight of the day, and travelling with a wheelchair PAX. The earlier flight was no longer available for miles, so they had to send a request via e-mail to the AS liason, and told me to call back in 4 days to see how AS resolved it. They were pretty accommodating, and nice about it, and I guess at this point it's in AS's hands. It sounds as though it's pretty complicated, because even if AS approves, AA then needs to re-issue the ticket, and she said to make sure I call back to ensure there are ticket numbers on the new flight, if AS permits.
This seems pretty cumbersome to me. I've had star alliance and now one world reservations booked with US miles where I think I've had schedule changes on awards involving partners and US has been able to fix with me on the phone (albeit with a long wait). I've never really had this "e-mail the liason and wait four days," but if it works out right, I don't really care.

I've never transferred in SEA on AS. The map makes it look like there could be a tram and satellite terminal involved, but it's hard to tell how complicated that is. I just spoke to a CSR who was very nice and seemed initially willing to move us to an earlier flight from ANC to SEA to give us a 2 hour connection, but then got a bit thrown by the fact that there are three PNRs and some were AA bookings, and basically talked me out of needing to make the change, stating it was a legal connection. (I asked for the MCT, but she wouldn't say other than to say it's legal.)
I'm curious from SEA transfer vets whether I should call back and push for the longer connection, and specifically am curious whether AS can make a change to a reservation booked with AA miles for a schedule change. She seemed initially to think it's possible, but wasn't sure.
