Just curious if anyone has any information regarding the future of the Almaty route BA158/159. I am travelling this route at least once or twice a month, but loads do not look great. I flew back this morning, and as usual the load was light but one of the crew confirmed its very busy with cargo and CW is frequently full. He also suggested that a 788 will replace the current 767 when they are phased out.

Whilst I have seen several threads on various forums regarding the 767 replacement on routes, Almaty is not mentioned. I know, from travelling this route since 2001, it's has had a checkered history, firstly being run from LGW, then via BMED (either through GYD or SVX) and then via BMI. Any inside track?
