I would, without question, dismiss an employee if I found out that they had offered the benefit of something the company had paid for, to an non-company individual.
I'm sorry if that sounds harsh, but its fraud.
Conversely, I would be completely comfortable in said employee sitting with their family, without it setting any form of precedent.
