The outbound will probably work (2 hours) if no delays and if I can interline bags. Inbound is only 1.5hours so a worry. I'm Plat so if we miss the connection can I SDC or standby for the next flight (at 4:35pm). Can I SDC or standby using a companion certificate?
Any other thoughts?
IMO this is way too tight for separate tickets. On the return, you can SDC if there's inventory in your fare class, but otherwise it's SDS and what if flights are all full on that day. The outbound is even riskier, in that when you no show or arrive after check in or bag drop is closed, NZ has no obligation to rebook you for the next day.
