I have a couple of questions about booking award travel through BA website using Avios. The flight I'm looking at will be an American Airlines flight (since BA doesn't service this route), so I was wondering if I can use my AAdvantage number for booking this flight? And would it even make any sense to do that, or should I just use my BA Executive Club number? Will I get any qualifying miles/segments/etc. on this trip on AA side (if using my AAdvantage number)? Just for reference, I'm Gold Elite with AA, and have no status with BA.
