We left once to go into Cancun. We took the (pretty convenient and safe) bus and went to the craft market and walked around. We're the type of people that usually do a lot and see a lot on vacation but we really enjoyed just relaxing at the resort for most of the time.
Oh, and they have shows in the lobby every night. We usually ended up at the lobby bar after the shows talking to people and socializing- we never felt bored...Good mix of all age groups
