Personally I wouldn't claim eu261 in these circumstances - or if I did i'd donate to charity. Not much more Ba could have done, they couldn't exactly get a replacement aircraft out and transfer mid air, and it was a bit too far to fontine to BOS or jfk.
I agree with you - hence the question. I don't think I would claim as I'm grateful that we are safely on the ground. But would like to know if a technical fault in the air is 'technically' claimable.
