I have NEVER received or been given a choice of this type of compensation/refund. It does not exist on the Green Onboard Comp form, and it does not exist on the small IFE compensation blue card.
So how did you manage to get this eUpgrade credit refund, and only within a few days?
To be honest, I am not sure. I didn't have any kind of expecting after I fill up the form. The seat was in my name but I had my wife seat up front while my daughter and me in the back. So, my wife did most of the talking with the FA, all I did was check off a box about I want Aeroplan miles (as I know those % off code mean nothing to me) and enter my Aeroplan number.
I had no clue how much I will be getting at that time. But to my surprise, my entire record of attempted for this upgrade was gone from my history in a few days. It was clear at T-2 initially, but it was like I never did requested.
That was in March and I actually make sure I kept those credits (14, I think) in my account in case AC want it back. I end up didn't use them until in mid Dec when I was doing my MR to get to SE. I was E50K at the time of my LHR-YYZ flight. So, I admit that I link the 2 things together myself, so maybe it was an AC IT glitch at the time... and only for me (as I can't recall anyone else report anything on FT)
