I, too, had no problems with data in HKG. I did, however, have problems with SMS and phone calls. I was connected to the 3 network -- which sent me an SMS welcoming me. CallerID didn't show up for incoming calls and attempts to send SMS messages resulted in failure and "Unidentified subscriber" messages displayed
