Clearly this is not what they teach at marketing school. As previously mentioned, most not targeted Diamonds will never know it. And it does appear that a good majority have been targeted. There are all kinds of other examples. I don't think Delta's old "white envelope" or their current 360 is considered a failure even though word has never leaked out what it takes. The mystery is part of it for those who find out about it which is still not that many.
