maybe yes.....maybe no. Im no where near mid 7 figures but I also dont have any shortage of miles. My main reason for being a FF flyer member with AS mileage plan isnt to earn redeemable miles, its just an added afterthought benefit. I only fly enough to gain status on 1 airline and earn status for the benefits of free luggage, preferred seats, not paying change fees, and the occassional upgrade. I hardly ever have the time to redeem awards so I gift miles most of the time instead of using them. Some people fly or plan their strategy mostly for RDMs, I dont, theyre just icing on the cake
