That's the part that is apparently going to be changing.
I don't think that's changing, because I don't think that's how it works today. I, and others, have had experiences where people on the same flight with a lower status level have been upgraded first.
But, I suspect your status will still put you ahead of others, but perhaps not as regularly as previously.
