I've never believed it was done in status pecking order. My woeful opup rate and knowing a couple of instances where people with lower status were given opups suggests it's always been a more complex algorithm.
Just to be a little clearer, I know it's not just about status as there may be several other factors involved. However, if it came down to a simple choice of person A or person B with all other things being equal I thought it would always go to the person with higher status. That's the part that is apparently going to be changing.
