I've never believed it was done in status pecking order. My woeful opup rate and knowing a couple of instances where people with lower status were given opups suggests it's always been a more complex algorithm.

I'm pretty 'meh' about this rumour. I don't really see it affecting me much, and I can see the point in spreading it around a bit. But I thought they already did that so not sure what's so different.

Well, apart from people who are used to getting many upgrades, I suppose.
