Although I doubt that 97% of the US population even knew the teams that were playing in the Super Bowl. Not everyone is a football fan, after all. My fiancé would not have known what it was if I hadn't mentioned it to her, and she is fairly well informed about things, just not a sports fan.

That week seemed to be a slow one, even a non football fan would be hard pressed to avoid coverage of something so insignificant, unless of course you avoid newspapers and tv.
