I'm planning on stopping by our local Hyvee when my card arrives in the mail to purchase a gift card or a few. I don't have a Bluebird account as I'm new to MS. Can I just buy these gift cards and cash them out?

If the fee is say $5.95 per card would I want to make sure I only load $494.05 on each card to make it an even $500?
