Tentative dates are during the week of 3/24. I am not doing this for "miles-sake" I actually need to be in these places, but I am flexible and can run this backwards.

The EWR-SAN leg was pricing at around $210 or so on HP. Then SAN-FLL (via PHX) was also pricing at about $200. But the flight "home" FLL-EWR is pricing at $589 ($599 for MIA), and it *does* have Q/T availability.

Here's a sample of the start of an acceptable itinerary, actually pricing at $428.50 *AS IS* which is basically two one-ways.

Flight: America West flight 38 on an Airbus Jet - non-stop
Depart: Newark, NJ (EWR) - Sun, Mar 24 at 5:48pm
Arrive: Phoenix, AZ (PHX) - Sun, Mar 24 at 9:34pm

Flight: America West flight 192 on an Airbus Industrie Jet - non-stop
Depart: Phoenix, AZ (PHX) - Sun, Mar 24 at 10:25pm
Arrive: San Diego, CA (SAN) - Sun, Mar 24 at 10:35pm

Flight: America West flight 14 on an Airbus Industrie Jet - non-stop
Depart: San Diego, CA (SAN) - Wed, Mar 27 at 9:35am
Arrive: Phoenix, AZ (PHX) - Wed, Mar 27 at 11:49am

Flight: America West flight 881 on an Airbus Industrie Jet - non-stop
Depart: Phoenix, AZ (PHX) - Wed, Mar 27 at 1:10pm
Arrive: Ft Lauderdale/Hollywood Intl (FLL) - Wed, Mar 27 at 7:19pm

As I see it, the problem child is tagging a the reasonably priced FLL-EWR (CO/NW) leg onto here.

Is it something to do with the fact that up to this point it is an all HP itinerary? becuase all of a sudden it just throws that $589 one-way FLL-EWR segment in there.

PS I should mention that I *DO* realize that this is "spring break" week and school is out, and the 31st is Easter. If nothing else, it's a great time for a voluntary bump
