No, but your post got me thinking. When I was pricing this originally as a round-trip (~$300), the EWR/SAN leg was "broken" actually as EWR/LAS & LAS/SAN, thus killing the Sat stay, but it never occured to me that even though the flights were *exactly* the same, they were pricing as a thru-fare instead of point-to-point. Foolish me
LAS being the rare exception to the rule where this policy is more expensive.
So then then since EWR-LAS-SAN-LAS-EWR was "nested" or "end-on-end" already, then EWR-LAS-SAN-FLL-EWR would not qualify as a circle trip, thus invalidating and fare benefits

but EWR-SAN-FLL-EWR would qualify, but I would need a Sat stay for the cheap fare rules.
aahhhh... the comedy of fare fules and restrictions...
I figured that what I might be able to to is EWR-LAS-FLL-EWR and then throw in a cheap (HP) LAS/SAN r/t on a separate itinerary, thus keeping the low fare rules intact and maintaining a circle trip, but the f'ing FLL-EWR segment keeps pricing as one-way $598. I have tried different times, dates, MIA instead of FLL, and even run it backwards and it still does this.
EWR-LAS-FLL-EWR is a circle trip as I see it, but keeps pricing as if it is not.
EDIT: more insanity... it's cheaper for me to book EWR/SAN r/t and then nest SAN/FLL r/t inside of it than try to book a multi-semgment trip. Oh well, if need to go, then more miles for me I guess...
