I seem to recall some rules about open jaws and the "short end of the triangle" for calculating fares. Sorry if that statement doesn't make much sense, but it is hard to describe.

I am trying to price what I perceive to be a circle trip and it is just providing a succession of one-way fares.

I am trying to book NYC-So.Cal-S.FL-NYC. Right now the airports are irrelevant, but something like EWR-SAN-FLL-EWR. All I get is $1,500+ fares, and when I use ITN it shows them all as one-way fares.

What am I doing wrong here?
