So here is the dilemma - I bought some years ago to my wife a set of professional kitchen knives from Shun - she is semi-professional chef. As you can see, they are not cheap ones.

Now I need to bring those knives with me. I really do not want to put chem into checked luggage because I am quite sure that 12 blades on screen will cause alarms go on.

Is there a way to take them as carry on and give them to the cabin crew which will give me back once we arrive at the destination?
