Oddly enough, I had that same thing on an Endeavor Air flight in first yesterday from CHS-JFK on a CR9. Not only did my seat not have one, but I moved back into another empty seat in first looking for one, and that seat didn't have it either! Both were the single first class seats on the left side. It didn't upset me per se, but I did find it rather annoying.
