I currently pay almost zero for phone calls, though I do pay for a Skype number as the simplest solution. Not zero, but not 50/month.
The only problem is that sometimes this keeps me tethered to a location, hence the thought of a cellphone.
I think I'll find something ultra cheap (Amazon?) for calls only, and be done with it. It's like shackles I threw off and I don't want them back.
