They are increasing frequencies to many destinations and weak corporate demand from Asia/Europe? The drop in oil prices certainly have an impact. To me, airfares is a forward indicator of world growth. I find that the prices have been coming down. Quite surprising when you look at the stock market growth. Even during the onset of euro zone crisis, you don't see this huge competiitive among the airlines.
I think only US is doing rather well but places like Singapore/Australia and most of Europe ain't doing well. QR has very limited exposure to US among the ME3 but high frequency to Europe and Asia so that may explain the need to entice more travellers on business class.
