The seat width should just be adequate in F on a CR( for your person. It is similar in width to what is found in the MD88s, 90s, and the 717.
It will not, however, be as wide as the seat on the other mainliners so if there are still questions about that which cannot be answered here, perhaps they would be better off changing if the others are scheduled.
ETA that a look at the schedule showed nothing but MadDogs so I think you should keep the CR9 or check out AA.
