After I posted my earlier message the Saturday changes kicked in and I had two flights (MSY-LGA, April and May) downgauged. I called and changed them to MSY-ATL-LGA on mainline.
IMO no need to do that.
The CR9 front cabin is quite acceptable for a 2.5 hour flight and she would have very few problems with seat 1A or, for that matter, any A seat in that 1-2 configuration.
