Likewise, I do get quite frustrated on the TATL flights to the East Coast of the USA and Canada. Some of them are only 6 hours if there is a bit of wind so getting through the service promptly and NOT waking everybody up 1:45 out of LHR for brekkie would be most helpful!
Edited to add that many/most crews get this right... but some sadly do not seem to be aware that their customers want some sleep!
You've been on east coast flghts were brekkie was started -1h45m?? The only time I can think where that might have happened for me is when we've ended up circling for a bit (ergo wasn't expected when the 2nd service was planned)
